HI, I am new to ccs. I am looking to volunteer but not sure about the process. My computer
knowledge is limited and have difficulty navigating. Since you are a staff, would it be possible for us to some how connect and may be you can help me go thru the process.
I am retired so I now have the time to do what I have wanted to do for a long time. However
I also have some health issues, but I am sure I can contribute. My name is Mebrat.
My email is mebrayy@yohoo.com Hope to hear from you. Thanks keep up the good job
Hi Andrea,
Everything went real well. I have been soooo busy since back, hit the ground running and back to work. Hope all is well with you as well!

Hi Andrea... Glad you enjoyed it... Unfortunetly I haven't seen Edison again for weeks.... I wish him the best wherever he is....When you get a moment read the story of Thiago, the other blog I posted.... My community is full of wonderful and kind people. Even if their stories are sometime hard to hear but this is the reality of life in Brazil and elsewhere in the world for tons of people.

Ang!!! Yah I am excited to go. It should be an amazing experience. I have a question...Do you know if it is possible to talk to other volunteers that are going to Morocco before I go? Just curious...lol
Hi Andrea! It was nice talking to you today and I am so excited about my trip to Lima! I'm sure that we will touch-base a few more times before the date!
Best- Jane
Wonderful pictures by the way! I'll try to post some of Thailand for you when I get the chance! ;-)
Wow- awesome pictures. How did you get Naris to let you take her picture- I snuck a few but she was very "no, no" about it. Same with pictures of the kids- photo ops were few and far between. Lots of the kids I know. May I download some of your pictures for my personal memories- they are so good. I can email you some of mine too. Vandana (teacher) left after first week and we had no English speakers there at all.
Wow- you were right behind me (I came Sept 20th and went to D/shala for 8 weeks then Delhi for 4. Wish I could work with CCS but nothing paid out here in Seattle!
Oh - hi- when were you there. I had Kajal (dyslexic 10 yr old), Archana, and many more. Right before I left we had 25 and then one day only 7 came and we were told that the rest had been moved to a new creche when their parent/parents took new work...some also had gone back to the village. Do you have pictures online? I am on Facebook and have pics there. I miss them so much. Would love to stay in touch.. Hugs
oh and I was trying to figure out how to get to Ayacucho. There are no flights listed. Does CCS coordinate that? Sorry, I guess I have quite a few questions.
I have been wondering if there are good opportunites to assist with health issues in Lima, such as immuniztions, nutrition, sanitation, HIV/AIDS? I am of course happy to do anything (incuding building or cleaning or cooking) but I'd really love to assist with some preventative care. Any ideas Andrea? I'm a clinical social worker. Thanks in advance, Dena
Hello, this is Andrea with Cross-Cultural Solutions...I will be out of the office backpacking around India for the next year. If your need is urgent, please dial 0, and somebody will be able to assist you with your matter. Thank you and namaste.
Andrea: Thank you so VERY much for the encouraging message. I am truly excited beyond words to contemplate going to Delhi this summer. Such beautiful children in your photos. Also, am very excited for you as to your permanent placement with CCS. Congratulations and I know you will be a wonderful asset to all. Best regards.
Hey Andrea, like Misty said, thank you! This definitely was the experience of a lifetime. I loved every second of it, and wish I could still be there! It's amazing how just 1 week can have such an impact!
Many , many thanks for this blog of yours Emily. Taking photos in another cultural environment does require a lot of sensability, and respect of the individuals which you want in your shot. To often over the years, I have seen volunteers taking ph...
