Good luck, that is amazing that you are so determined! I just traveld to Tanzania (Rural Kilimanjaro) this past summer in July and August, and it was a life-changing, amazing experience. I would be happy to answer any questions or concerns you might have. I know that before I left I definitely experienced a lot of anxiety and nerves, but after a few days of being there, I felt at home. The people of Tanzania are SO warm and loving, and I plan on going back. I stayed in Boma Ng'Ombe; my fellow volunteers and I were in agreement that it was good to stay in a rural, more removed community as opposed to the city to get a feel for the traditional life and the calming atmosphere of Africa. I am sure Moshi, Bagamoyo and other sites are wonderful too. But from my experiences, I know I will want to return to Boma.

I went to Tanzania in the summer of 2008 and I am going back this coming summer on my own. CCS is an amazing organization, you will really love the experience. Tanzania is a wonderful country with really incredible people. I volunteered in a nursery school and the experience was great because the children I taught were learning, but I myself was learning so much too! Let me know if you have any questions I can answer!!!
