- Very good....I will hunt for you on FB. You will find many of the staff at CCS Delhi have FB pages- you might consider "reupping" - it is a good way to keep in touch when you are 13.5 hours different in time. Let me know if you have any questions. I also have lots of pictures on FB- let me know your placement too! I am excited for you...words don't begin to cover it-

I am happy to let you know that I am finalizing my trip to New Delhi, India. My program starting date is August 15th, 2009. I am hoping to be assigned to the Mobile Creche for my program, however, I would be happy to work at any place where I am most needed. Can you share your experience at the Mobile Creche? What were your typical day like? Also, I plan on staying 2 weeks after my program touring the Holy Sites in Northern India. Any suggestions on traveling outside Delhi?

- Hi there! Yes, what a small world that we just missed each other by a day. I may have passed you on the way to the airport- who knows. I had a similar experience- the group of children I worked with for the first 2 weeks suddenly left, and we were then with mostly all new children. I miss them terribly!! I have photos of them here at my desk and also at home on my walls! - I'm glad to hear this. I have encountered different people for whom India was just to much to handle. Then again volunteering is not the same for everyone. I wish you the best with your future travel plans. All the best from sunny Brazil.

- Hi Syranda, Nice to read that you enjoyed your time in Delhi. We just missed meeting . I was in Delhi from January 08 until end of June working at the Vidya Pappankalan project for the second year and also assisting the CCS staff in Delhi. Would you consider return again to India ?

- Hi there. I see that your placement in Delhi was at the Nehru Stadium Mobile Creches. I just had to say hello, as that's where I volunteered too! I love and miss it every single day!! I've recently framed a bunch of photos of the children and have them displayed at home. I bet we worked with the same children!

- Syrinda, Thank you so much for the comment. It was very helpful. I am volunteering with CCS for three weeks, then, my friend, an Indian, who lives near New Delhi and I are traveling around Delhi area and into Tibet for ten days. I don't have any questions yet because I just received my welcome packet a few days ago and I have not had a chance to read it yet. But, I am sure there will be questions later and I would need your help for sure. Thanks again and have a great day!
