You will love Cape Town! I can't wait to get back there! 18 days and counting! :) The country is beautiful, the locals are lovely. The spirit of these people is so inspiring. The whole experience...beyond words.
As far as what to prepare for your trip...I have a few recommendations: A Nalgene water bottle, for taking water out of the house to your placement for drinking, Airborne tablets...I took those twice per day while I was there and feel positive that's what kept me healthy, and vitamins! I've always been there the month of February and it gets pretty warm during the day, but at night it does get chilly, so jackets and sweatshirts are always good. Depending on where you volunteer, its good to have clothing you don't mind getting dirty. They have a laundry service that picks up your clothes, washes, folds and delivers them weekly. It's great and pretty cheap, however most of my white/light stuff came back a light gray color. So just pack accordingly. There is wireless in the house if you want to bring your own laptop. They have a desktop that everyone can share, but it's nice to have your own if you plan on regularly blogging, uploading pictures, using Skype or anything like that.
I leave at the end of February, so I will miss your arrival. I hope you have an incredible journey!

- Aww I know! It actually hasn't hit me yet. --I think it wont hit me until i'm getting on the plane. :) i'm still not sure which volunteer job option i should pick. What have you picked?
