no - you just pay each time. I think it's about $2-$3 a time. There are memberships you can buy for a month, but it doesn't pencil out unless you go almost every day.

Also, if anyone is hanging out in the airport for a few hours in the middle of the night, don't worry - it's really nice. there's a starbucks with internet (that will feel way too much like home) with those overstuffed couches to sleep - i mean si...

I think a light jacket will do - keep in mind, you might want to buy a sweater or wrap in Ayacucho. I was there last May and the weather was perfect. but bring layers, that way you can add as needed. Like a long sleeve tee shirt, a thin sweater, a...

no - don't think so. I just brought my laptop. the bad thing is lugging it around and it adds weight. but I guess it depends on how long you're going to be there and how much you want to stay connected. as I said, there's an internet cafe just downstairs and several in the neighborhood.

Hi! Thanks for getting back to me. I saw more of your comments on the group page which answered most of my questions. I'll only have the one weekend free there so wasn't sure how much spending money to bring. Do you know the cost of the jungle or llama trek trips?

Hi Martha! Your photos really are fantastic and it makes me excited to volunteer there in a couple of weeks. I'll be travelling alone and would love to hear about your experience and any info/advice you have. 3 times in the last year? Amazing!

Hi Martha,

I have another question.. By chance did you travel alone to Ayacucho? The reason I ask is because I'll need to travel alone to Ayacucho and would like to know if you know of any security issues I may encounter.

Thanks again
