- I'm getting into Lima on the Friday evening before our program (so I guess the 5th of June) because that is the only direct flight from Toronto. So I have to stay over in Lima at a hotel that night, and then basically hang around in Lima/the airport until my flight to Ayacucho leaves early Sunday morning. What is your flight schedule like? Maybe we will see each other in the airport while we wait for our early morning flight on the sunday!

This is actually my first time to Peru and South America in general. I'm excited but also kind of nervous because I'm trying to learn Spanish a little before I go and am not having a whole lot of success. What about you? Have you traveled in Peru or South America before? Are you planning on taking any trips after your program is done? I'm looking into going to Macchu Picchu for a week or so.

- No, not Mormon. My great grandmother, my grandmother, and my mother were all missionaries at some point and time in the Presbyterian USA church. We do ‘work missions’ during which we never mention religion or beliefs, except when asked, we witness through our actions by assisting others in anyway we are able. My brother is an officer if the Marine Corp and soon to deploy. Sounds like an amazing way to compliment your thesis! I’m majoring in international studies (still working on my BA)

- I have never been to South America but I am in love with the Latin American culture. Growing up around missionaries I have been participating in trips like this all my life so I thought expanding to Peru would be fun! And I thought it might help me learn a bit more Spanish. (I really need the practice) What made you pick Peru? Truly, I don’t care where I work as long as I can help. What area are you planning to work in?
