Hey Katie,
Thanks so much for the great information! You're comment really 'sealed the deal' for me--I just signed up today for Ayacucho! I'm really excited but definitely need to brush up on my Spanish before departing. Yes, I'm still in school but not for much longer- I graduate in the next couple of weeks! What are you doing in Breckenridge?

Hey Katie,
I'm considering interning in Ayacucho at the health clinic. Do you think 12 weeks is too long to stay in Ayacucho? I also have little professional medical experience, does that matter? Would love to hear your thoughts on Ayacucho as a city and the program itself!

Hi again! I have been abroad several times just for vacations and with friends, but never to volunteer. Your pictures made me very interested in working in the clinic. I don't have a medical background in any way! Are there things I would still be able to do in the clinic even though I'm not a doctor or nurse? What sorts of tasks did you usually do? It looks like you often worked with babies, which is what I think I would be interested in doing. Let me know when you have a chance. Thanks! :o)

Hi Katie! I was just looking at your pictures on facebook of your ayacucho travels on the CCS fanpage. I am volunteering there this fall and would love to hear about your experiences. What did you think of working in the health clinic, what sorts of things did you do there? The pictures are amazing!

Many , many thanks for this blog of yours Emily. Taking photos in another cultural environment does require a lot of sensability, and respect of the individuals which you want in your shot. To often over the years, I have seen volunteers taking ph...
