Hi Joanne,
I will be arriving in moshi Nov. 15 and wondering if you will still be around? Would be so great to get to know someone before I get there. I love to travel, but this is pretty much my first solo experince. Any advice would be much appreciated.

Hey Joanne, Did you figure out accommodations for an early arrival? Any suggestions?

Mark, I will already be volunteering by the time you arrive. I start on Sept 30. However, definitely up for Zanzibar. I'm sure every weekend there will be a group wanting to go on Safari, Zanzibar, etc. so I would imagine you can count on that happening. As for Kili, I won't be able to climb until I'm done with my volunteering which ends Nov. 8. How long are you volunteering? I'm going to see how feasible it is to climb during the short rain season. Obviously not the best time, but hey, when in Rome...

How is India? I'm sure you're having an amazing time. Are you doing through CCS as well?

Talk soon and thanks for writing!

Hey JoAnne,

I will be in volunteering in India before I am in Africa. I can probably meet you a few days before our project starts. Are you up for going to Zanzibar??? And I am interested in climbing Kilo? I am in Europe right now so I can only access my email when its available. Write back and I will get back to you.

Nice to Meet You,

Mark

Hey Naomi - Great to hear from you! Preparations are going well, I'm starting to get overwhelmed from time to time just thinking about what to/not to bring. This is my first time volunteering abroad and I'm totally excited! What about you? I'm so jealous you're climbing Kili! You'll do great. It sounds like you are active and doing a lot of training which will make for a much better experience. Where are you staying before the start of the program? I'm coming in a day earlier and trying to find the best place online.

hey JoAnne, I am so excited to finally hear from someone who will be starting the same date as me! I am going to be staying for 8 weeks and then heading back to Germany. How are you feeling on your preperation for the program? Have you done international volunteering before? I can't wait for the climb. I am slightly worried about being in good enough shape and also the altitude. I have climbed some easy mountains and am planning on climbing the highest in germany next week. I hope it all works out!
