Profile Information

About me:
Volunteering with CCS in Lima and Ayacucho, Peru, literally changed my life. Before a went to Peru, my life was falling apart, but the people and places I came to know and love rebuilt me into the person I am now proud to call myself.
The experience boosted my confidence and strength to the point where, at the end of my CCS time, I knew I had to come back to South America on my own. I had also found a passion and a new direction, starting a Fair trade importing company so I could continue to travel and connect with people in cultures so different from my own. A few months later I was back and spent 5 months travelling and volunteering around Peru, Ecuador, and Mexico.
Just recently I took another trip back to Peru to make contacts with artisans and suppliers. It gets harder to leave every time I go back.
I owe a tremendous debt of gratitude to my CCS experience for helping me find my true self. Thank you!

Sorry that I missed yuo when I was in Lima. It would have been great to meet up and compare CCS Lima experiences. How was your month there?
