I did not like the prison one bit.
I did like the orphanage, the best. The "Wawa Wasi" (day care ctr) was (of course) kinda dirty and very sparse, but I felt I added a lot there to some very needy kids. The nursing home was good too, mostly b/c w...
i was wondering if anyone has any direct experience working with the street children and if they were willing to share. I'm trying to decide on the right program so any info would help! thanks

Of course, I'm sure if you spoke with people who volunteered in the orphanage, that would be their preference, etc. It sort of depends on what you're into, you know?
Hey Emily! I think one of the best placements is in the prison working with the women. only thing, you should be fairly versed in Spanish. I've been three times and I love it. I'll see if I can upload some photos.

- Cool Emily, great you have decided. I thought about Peru too for this year, but my partner and I want to visit the Galapagos Islands next year, so we now plan to combine the visits then. I am now thinking about going to India, but please let me know how you get on in Peru and good luck!
