At 9:17pm on January 5, 2009, Jenny Lintvedt said…: i am so excited for our placement, i cant imagine anything that would be more rewarding.. i haven't started packing yet, i know if i did i would just unpack and repack 10 times before friday. i'm assuming we'll be on the same flight from jfk to cape town? im planning on just bringing a bunch of tshirts and pants for our placement, and then the usual vacation stuff. i got a calling card, it was only $25 for like 250 minutes, and im bringing my lap top for email. i can't believe we're leaving in 4 days!

At 10:11pm on January 4, 2009, Jessica said…: i had a pretty extensive list i made the first time i was over there. the only thing i would say is a must... usual bathroom stuff. i dont know if you are planning on doing any kinda traveling like over night trips but i found a really cheap sleeping bag from a sporting goods place. i loved having it because it was kinda nice to have something that was yours. im a light sleeper so i have earplugs, tons of chapstick. hair ties.

i have been to kenya and it was the most amazing thing i have ever done. it was through college classes so this will be a little different i am assuming. :)
