Profile Information

About me:
I originally volunteered in Thailand with Cross-Cultural Solutions in 2002. I joined the New York team in 2003 as Peru Program Manager (Lima, Ayacucho, and Trujillo). I have been working in the Recruiting and Alumni Development Department since 2004. What an amazing journey! I especially enjoy hearing from CCS alumni about how volunteering internationally has impacted their life. As you can imagine, I love to travel and learn about other cultures. I've also had the privilege of volunteering with CCS Brazil and CCS Costa Rica (San Carlos); and I've visited our program in Ghana (Ho and Woe).

I take the lead on recruiting staff for our New York office, so if you're interested in careers at CCS, please send me an email!

Hi Quinn,

Virginia in Guatemala City told me to get in touch, because after volunteering there I was so inspired that I would love to join the team.

I may have been a little enthusiastic and sent a couple of emails whilst you've been away volunteering. But I know it is more difficult for you to hire some one from England, so I wanted to show how passionate I was!

I hope this finds you inspired in Thailand. I'm just heading off to South Dakota to volunteer with Native American communities, but I hope to here from you soon.

thanks and I hope I haven't bugged the office too much.

Bom dia Quinn de Sao Paulo...
Thanks for the wishes on International Volunteers day. Things are just fine here and I'm getting ready for my Christmas holidays by the sea in Buzios. That will be very different than the tons of snow I normally get in Canada. I am sad at what'sgoing on in India at the moment, then again some other things put a smile on my face such as hearing recently that the kids in Pappakalan from my class who had joined school for the first time this year are still all attending. None have left! Hurray! I look forward so much to returning to India in May (even though I really enjoy Brazil, so much to do hear) I shall write a longer email soon.
Take care my friend

Habari gani? Mimi ni huzuni lakini furaha. I'm happy to be back and see Carlton and my friends. But it was tough to leave these most amazing people. Bagamoyo is just the most amazing place! Have you been?
What's gone on since I've left?

It seems like I talk about my time in Peru just about every day so it's great to be reconnected to CCS in this way. I'm glad you enjoyed the photos.

Hi Quinn,
Well I am on the final countdown before returning to Montreal next monday 16th June. Must say I am ready now .. enough of the heat and all. I am ready to return to my world and share my experiences with others .Still my experience has been once again, fantastic, I will be involved in a fundraiser for Pappankalan on the 27th of June organised by a lady whom I met during my stay in Delhi. She is so keen in helping out and I will be doing a Power point presentation for the people atttending. Still more work but then again for a good cause. Anyway , hope all is good with you in NY. Let's keep in touch.
Daniel
