- I have a degree in psychology from my country, Colombia. Currently I am working as a bilingual (spanish/english)psychotherapist in a mental healh clinic in Manhattan. I work with children, adolescents and adults from low-income families.
I am very interested in participating in activities related to health education and prevention, as well as counseling. I have some experience with HIV/AIDS education programs.
I love travelling and getting to know new cultures and languages.

I am going to Moshi on 7th November too...i will be staying for 6 weeks...how long is your programme?
I have my vaccinations nearly sorted, I am going to book my flight within the next two weeks and I havent made much progress yet with the Swahili!! Im so excited about our upcoming trip!

I'll be there on November 7 as well--I'm doing the 6 week program and staying for an extra week afterward (hopefully to make he kilimanjaro climb). Not sure where I am volunteering yet, but I'm hoping to do something in community/business development. How long is your program?

Excellent.. nice to see there is yet another volunteer arriving on the same date as me! :-) How long are you staying for? unfortunately I am only doing the 3 week program. I don't have my placement yet but I'm hoping to do some sort of a care giving role in an orphanage however I'm sure regardless of what I am doing it will be an amazing experience. I'm arriving in Kili on the 6th, what date are you arriving? my flights are sorted, vaccinations pretty much sorted but I haven't managed to learn any solid Swahili yet :-(
