Hi Corinne
I sent you an email to your office but suspect you did not get it. We are thinking of going to Tanzania and would love your sage advice re where, when, and any caveats you would offer. Your pre Dharamsala info was invaluable. Thanks much
Anne

Hi Corinne, just browing the community pages and came across your photos which are fantastic. I just got back from Ayacucho Peru and am already hoping to plan another trip next year. It's a toss up between Kilimanjaro and Dharamasala for me, so would be curious what your preferences/recommendations are on each place. I was also thinking of bringing my children with me next time (currently 10 and 13). Would either location be good for them too?

Hi Corinne....I enjoyed seeing your beautiful photos and it gave a good sense of place and spirit. I found you through Bob Deming's page and I will be arriving in Dharamsala just after Bob and Ann have left. Such is life. You mentioned a helpful travel agent in McGleod Ganji and I would be interested in the name. My email is madelene.lees@schwab.com. I also have a toll-free number at work which is 1-800-648-5300 and you just follow the prompts (my extension is x78333, and if you leave a message at that extension, it will be me as sometimes they get the names mixed up). I've never worked with or taught children before so any more words of wisdom would be appreciated! I do know that wherever I am placed will be the right path. Did you see Slum Dog Millionaire? The reference to "destiny" is right on the money, so I've looking forward to letting life unfold. Also, at night is it chilly or cold? It looks like the days are warm with short sleeves. I did consider Tanzania but chose Dharamsala. Perhaps for my next volunteer venture I'll to to Tanzania.....you never know........Best, Madelene

Thanks Corinne. Will email you soon. Sorry about confusing your and your sister's colleges. Right, Fordham not Georgetown.

Hey Corinne!
Your pictures are so beautiful! I liked all the pictures of the home base too! The hospital room was kind of a shock - it was so colourful! You got sick while there? Sorry to hear that, but you got better! So that's good! I want to go to Dharamsala after Ghana and before Tanzania, how was it there? What did you do?

Thank you so much. I loved your photos, really got a feel for the place and especially the home base and your "residence". And learned so much from your helpful comments. Looks like you really got sick. Too bad but helpful to see the hospital in case. A couple questions if you don't mind. Did you arrive in Delhi early and or leave late--ie days before the program started or ended and if so, were you able to stay at the Delhi home base before and after your excursions (like to Agra) before you flew back to the states? If not where did you stay? How far away was that hospital? Someone suggested bringing you own syringes in case you need them, would you agree? Did you bring food?
Those are my questions at this point. Thank you again for being so helpful.
Anne
