Unfortunately my time away from home is limited as I could only get 1 month in total away from work. With a bit of clever manipulation I managed a few extra days so that I can do some exploring before I start. I have organised some time in Lima and also time in Cuzco where I have organised a couple of train trips/hiking and exploring on my own. I will be visiting the Sacred Valley and Machu Picchu a couple of must dos! as I have been told. I am looking forward to getting as mush out of the shot time I have in Peru, with a bit of luck I will be able to come back. I look forward to sharing with you some of my adventures when I meet you and perhaps we can explore some of the local culture and history in the region surrounding Ayacucho on the weekends during placement. Good luck with your planning it certainly is alot to organise isn't it. Talk soon gotta get ready for work!!

I will be starting in Ayacucho at the same time as you. I am only able to stay for 3 weeks however am looking forward to the experience. Is ths your first volunteering experience as it will be mine. I am also interested in assisting local health care professionals however am happy to go wherever there is a need. I am a Nurse and it would appear a little older than most of the volunteers that I see online but don't hold that against me!! Lol !! I look forward to meeting you and I hope to hear from you before hand.

I just enrolled today to do an internship in the health field in Ayacucho. I will be there from September 27 through mid-December, so it looks like we'll be there during the same time! I can't wait!
