Cape Town is very very much like any city in the US, I'm from Chicago (the suburbs) but Cape Town is pretty much like the city, it's also a lot like NY or LA. So if you like the city, you will feel comfortable. It does have a lot of crime, I can tell ya that! It affected a few of us very directly, but no one has been hurt or anything. It is gorgeous here, I cannot even begin to tell you how amazing it is. There is still a lot of racism, although, it's not as in your face as I expected. Anything in particular you want to know about? Let me know, and I'll tell ya because I know this place like I've lived here my whole life!
