Was there something you wish you had done there but didn't? Perhaps bringing something from home? Or visiting a site in Lima that you didn't have time to see? I'm only going for one week so I want to make the most of it.

Hi Ashleigh,
Thanks for your blogs - a great read! So wonderful to hear you're having such an inspirational time. I'm doing a 12 week program in Lima starting next February. Can't wait - a little overwhelmed but good. I'm not at all familiar with the language, but will attempt to learn as much as possible between now and then. Looking forward to your photos :-)

Traveling+Vounteering=GREATNESS!

Sorry it´s been so long since my last blog post, but we´ve been super busy! This past weekend, I got to go on a trip to the south of Peru to visit Ica, Paracas and Nazca. In Ica, we went to Huacachina and had the time of our lives! Our dune buggy driver was hilarious and he rode us through the sand dunes - the tallest in South America - like it was a thrill ride! A little later, we attempted sand boarding and got to go down three hills of increasing steepness and height. It was completely awesom… Continue

My First Days in Peru

I have only been in Peru for about 48 hours now, and I can´t believe how much I´ve done! In the very first day, I got to visit the local super market and also volunteer with domestic workers. I actually helped to teach them possesive pronouns, which doesn´t sound very exciting, b… Continue
