I had some really tough moments, but some of that was just that I'm not a teacher and 26 6 year olds can be challenging for anyone! I am very nervous about this assignment, as I have heard it is a large group of children and they don't speak english and it can be quite unstructured. I have done a lot of volunteer work before, but all with small groups of kids and not in a school setting. I would be interested in hearing your experiences, recommendations, etc. I am actually toying with asking for another assignment... Thanks, Janice

About me:: Just finished with my Master's degree and will now be working as a Physician Assistant at GWU Hospital. Now that I'm no longer in school I'll have more time to travel and volunteer =) I'm looking to adding to my volunteer travels to Tanzania and Haiti soon!
