I am american all of my life but muslim 6 years . I hope to go to Morocco to teach english but havent firmed up plans for when yet . Maybe early next year . While i havent been there yet i already have a few friends in Morocco so it will feel like going home in a way . lookin forward to meeting some of you

I just finished reading a book about a British family that moves to Casablanca, where "Islamic tradition and African folklore converge...". I thought it might be worth recommending to anyone headed to Morocco and would like a better understanding of the culture there.

Their encounters with Moroccan locals may be especially valuable for those of you out there who have had limited exposure to oriental culture.

While I have not volunteered with CCS Morocco, I have spent a week in morocco and am delighted say that the country is definitely worth a 2nd visit.

Hi Eleanor - I spent 3 weeks in Morocco earlier this summer, and loved it! It was a good mix of volunteering, free time, and learning experiences. The culture is really interesting and the people are fantastic. I'd definitely recommend if you're interested in the Middle East/learning more about Muslim culture. My dad, sister and I were thinking about going volunteering in Morroco in Febraury. Last Febraury we went to Lima. Does anyone have anything to say about the overall Morocco experience? I'd love to hear from you guys! Thanks:)
