Was wondering if anyone else who is volunteering over the month of November has Mwereni Primary School as their placement? and if there are any Alumni volunteers for Mwereni if they could please share their experiences with me! I'd really appreciate it! thank you =)

Hi everyone...
I am leaving for Kilimanjaro next week and my placement is with the Uwawayaki Womens Group.. I am going to be working with the children at the nursery school.. I was wondering if anybody who has worked previously with this group could share their experiences (good and bad!!) with me in preparation for my trip... Any information at all would be greatly appreciated!

Hi you guys!
I'm planning to volunteer for 3 weeks in the end of July next year (I know it's a bit early but I like to be prepared when I do something). So, I have plenty of time and I'm looking for someone who has experience in this program. By the way, I see some of you know the exact name of the place they're going to. Do they tell you this after you've applied?

Hello everyone! I also will be in Moshi November 7, I just enrolled and I'm so excited to see so many people going around the same time... Can't wait to meet everyone!
The date is coming up pretty soon, and I have soooo much to do! I haven't even started with the Swahili or booked my flights yet! Anyone flying from Newark or JFK?

Hi Amber! Comment by Dee Limpus 1 second ago Delete Comment Hi Teri, I'm hoping for a caregiving role in an orphanage but am happy to be placed wherever there is a need. I would also be happy with assisting teachers etc Oh wow! that's fantastic that you have volunteered before and continue to do so. I'm so looking forward to the experience as I've heard nothing but amazing things about the people of Tanzania =)

Hi Teri! I saw that you were going to be in Tanzania around the same time that I will be there! I can't wait to meet everyone--only 3 months to go!! :)

Awesome, thanks for responding so quickly Dee! I haven't volunteered with CCS before, but I've been to Tanzania twice with other groups for volunteering. You will absolutely fall in love with the culture and people!!! Tanzania is BEAUTIFUL! :) What are you hoping for your placement? I'm a nurse so I'm hoping I will be able to contribute to medical needs there or maybe volunteer in one of the orphanages!

Hi Teri, oh good this is not my first time overseas but my first time volunteering abroad.. I've still got a long way to go with my fundraising unfortunately! the conversion rate from AUD to USD is killing me! =(

Hi Danielle--nope, I haven't volunteered with CCS before, or overseas for that matter--so I'm really excited! The date is approaching fast; still three months left but it feels like there is still so much to do. And yes, I am fundraising: actually, I'm almost done, which makes me very happy.
