First let me say I'm happy to see that folks are joining this group. I hail from Philadelphia, so if anyone is ever in the area give me a shout.

Nichole, the best advice I can give you is to travel with an open mind. You're bound to experience some things that you are not accustomed to, but if you embrace those things, your trip will be well worth it. Have fun!

Hi, I lived in Boston, Ma for five years and just recently moved to Chicago, IL. Just wondering if any of you are traveling this Dec. I am going to Peru Dec 13th and wondered if any of you ever went there or could give me any kind of feedback on your trips. Its my first time traveling abroad.

I've lived in Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and now Maine for almost 18 years, so I'm East Coast born and raised :-)

Lena, I've been in NYC for 2 years now. Do I count as an East Coaster yet? :)
