To start off, here is an article from the University of Michigan's School of Social Work Magazine titled, Ongoing, about a MSW student Kate McCriskin, who volunteered with CCS for 6 weeks in South Africa in 2008. The article is on page 17 of this pdf file. Kate experienced a CCS program to the fullest including, cultural immersion, self discovery, and the challenging issues she faced at her volunteer placement in South Africa.
