Hi Candice! I am the Program Manager for the Cape Town program. Just wondering if you are interested in the Robertson or the Cape Town program in South Africa? The amount of money you will spend during your program depends on how you plan to spend your free time. Your lodging, meals, programmed activities and transportation to placement are all covered by your program fee, so your free time activities are the only things you will spend money on. You will have 2 afternoons, all evenings and your weekends free to travel and explore Cape Town or Robertson on your own. In Cape Town, you will want to have access to somewhere between $150 USD (if you don't go out very often) and $400 USD (if you will be out most nights and traveling every weekend) per week per person. In Robertson, you want to have access to between $75 and $300, as Robertson is more rural and the free time activities are fewer and less expensive.

The trip between the airport and the Home-Base in Cape Town is only a 15 minute drive and, as long as you arrive on your program start date, we can pick you up at the airport. The trip between the airport and the Home-Base in Robertson is a 2 hour drive. We can pick you up at the airport as long as you arrive on your program start date before 6pm.

Hi Candice, Do you know where or when you will go yet ? Myself & daughter are also planning a trip to Africa, sure not sure when or where :0)
